Fourteen Tabs, One Job Application

You know the setup. LinkedIn in one tab, the company's own application form in another, a notes doc with your half-finished answer to “why us,” and a spreadsheet you swore you'd keep updated. Pilotply is a Chrome extension built to close all of that into one place: it scores the job, fills the form, answers the hard questions, and remembers what you applied to.

The Real Cost of Applying Everywhere

Nobody applies through one system anymore. A single week of job hunting might touch LinkedIn, a Greenhouse form, an Ashby form, and a Workday portal that asks for your entire employment history one text box at a time. Each site has its own quirks, its own login, its own version of a question you've already answered five times tonight.

That repetition is where good answers die. The “why this company” response you wrote carefully for the first application gets thinner by the tenth, not because you stopped caring, but because you're tired and the form is due at midnight. Pilotply exists to take the repetition out and leave the judgment calls to you.

What's Actually Inside the Extension

1

Pilotply Easy Apply, on LinkedIn

A small toolbar sits next to every job posting: a resume-fit score, one-click apply, and a Save button that syncs to your dashboard. It's separate from LinkedIn's own Save, so the two never get confused.

2

Autofill on 30+ ATS sites

Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, and dozens more. Standard fields fill instantly for free. AI only steps in for the fields that need actual judgment, like short-answer questions.

3

Ask Pilotply AI, a chat that already knows you

Paste a job description and ask anything. Why you're a fit, how to phrase a tricky answer, what a vague requirement really means. Answers come from your real resume, and it can search the web when a question is about the company itself.

4

Resume fit scoring

Get a score before you spend ten minutes on a form: JD match, experience alignment, ATS compatibility. It tells you which applications are worth the effort tonight.

5

One dashboard, every application

Saved jobs, applied jobs, notes: all in one place at pilotply.com/dashboard, regardless of where you found or applied to the role.

Troubleshooting

Most problems trace back to one of five causes. Here's the fastest fix for each.

The extension icon shows "Not connected"

Open the popup and paste your API key from pilotply.com/dashboard/api-keys, or sign in on pilotply.com in the same browser and refresh the job page.

Nothing happens when I click Autofill

Refresh the page once after installing or updating the extension. A tab that was already open runs an older, disconnected copy of the script until it reloads.

A field got filled with the wrong value

Fix it manually before submitting. Autofill saves time on the easy fields; it isn't a substitute for a final read-through. If it happens repeatedly on one site, flag it through dashboard support so we can improve the matching.

"Out of credits" when scoring or autofilling

Free accounts start with a credit balance that resets on a schedule. Check what's left in the popup, or top up from the dashboard.

The toolbar or Ask Pilotply AI widget isn't showing up

Confirm the extension is enabled in chrome://extensions and that you're on a supported page: a LinkedIn job posting, or a Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, or Workday application. It only activates on job-related pages by design.

FAQs

Does Pilotply submit applications automatically without me reviewing them?

No. It fills the form and stops before the final submit step so you can review every answer first. You decide what actually gets sent.

What happens if a field looks wrong after autofill?

Edit it like any normal form field before you submit. The inspect panel next to the autofill button also shows exactly which fields were filled, skipped, or need a manual look.

Can I use my own resume, or does Pilotply write one from scratch?

You upload your real resume, and optionally a cover letter, in the dashboard. Pilotply reads them alongside the job description to answer questions and score fit. It doesn't invent experience you don't have.

Why does the extension ask for AI credits?

Scoring a job and answering open-ended questions both call an AI model, which costs real money to run. Simple field matching (name, email, phone, links) is free and instant. Credits only cover the parts that genuinely need AI.

The job board has its own Save button too. What's the difference?

Their Save button saves to that site's own list. Pilotply's Save button saves to your dashboard with notes and status attached, so everything lives in one place no matter which site you found the job on.

Can I use the AI chat assistant outside LinkedIn?

Yes. It opens automatically on LinkedIn. On any other site, click the Pilotply icon and choose "Ask Pilotply AI" to open the same assistant there.

One Extension. Every Job Board.

Install Pilotply once and bring your resume, your answers, and your tracking with you everywhere you apply.
